Year-Round Staff
Toby Ayash – Executive Director
Toby’s first experience at Pinemere was in the late 1960s/early 1970s when she spent summers coming with her family to Family Camp, and then returned to Pinemere in the 1980s as a counselor for the Hilltop (older girls). After graduating from college, Toby made aliyah to Israel and worked for the Jewish Agency and Ramah Programs in Israel, organizing trips to Israel for teens and families. She spent fifteen years in Israel and then returned to the United States to head the North American office of the Ramah Programs in Israel. She also spent time as the Director of Education for the Jewish Outreach Partnership of Greater Philadelphia before becoming the Assistant Director of Camp Ramah in the Poconos. Toby returned to her roots at Pinemere as Executive Director in 2008.
Toby, her husband, Meir, and their three children, Matan, Noa, and Or, live in Elkins Park, PA. Toby holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education, and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology.
“There is nothing like a Jewish overnight camp experience. It gives children the opportunity to feel part of an accepting community, gives them a new sense of independence, teaches them about differences among people, infuses Jewish values in an informal way, and allows them to have a lot of fun. I feel honored that I have been given the opportunity to make a full circle in the camping world and to be able to come ‘home’ to Pinemere.”
Ezra Androphy – Assistant Director
Ezra is very excited for his second summer as Assistant Director. Ezra spent his formative summers at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires, as a camper, counselor, and division head. After college, Ezra spent six years as Activities Director for United Synagogue Youth, where he was also director of their Summer in the City program. He came to Pinemere after spending two years as Assistant Director of Etgar 36, where he led teens on journeys throughout America, studying history, politics, and activism, including a cross-country summer trip.
Ezra, his wife, Gail, and daughter, Sara, live in Fort Washington, PA. Ezra holds Bachelor’s degrees from Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary.
Ann Selkow – Business Manager
Ann attended a variety of camps as a child, and has been a part of the Pinemere family since she was introduced to our camp in 1996. As our Business Manager, Ann oversees all of Pinemere’s registration, bookkeeping, billing, office management, and other related areas. She also supervises the camp’s office staff during the busy summer season. And, in her spare time…she’s Lily Selkow’s Mom!
Ann, her husband, Aaron, and their daughter, Lily, reside in Philadelphia, PA. Ann holds a Master’s Degree in Education.
Keith Raymond – Facilities Supervisor
Keith joined the Pinemere family in 2011 after being in the design and build business for 23 years. Keith heads up the maintenance department as the Facilities Supervisor, and is at camp year-round enhancing our existing facilities and making many new improvements and upgrades.
Keith lives in East Stroudsburg, PA with his wife, Lori, and three sons, Zachary, Justin, and Alexander.
