Chugim (Hobbies)
Held 4-5 days per week, and sometimes more than once per day, chugim are activities that are chosen by campers on their own. The chugim are all activities run by counselors who excel in a particular area, and are divided into age/gender-appropriate groups as needed. Campers are given a list of all chugim after the beginning of camp, and they rank their top three choices. The programming staff then assigns a chug to each camper (usually one of their top two selections), for the upcoming week. Each chug lasts 4-5 days or periods.
