Birds and Fish!

Now that everything is in full bloom, we’ve turned to other projects in nature. Birds and fish: What do they have in common? The campers were very enthusiastic about hanging their homemade birdfeeders while learning about the different ways the many various birds around camp feed. We’ve also been fishing with the kids! If you’ve never looked inside the mouth of a large-mouthed bass, it’s something out of a science fiction movie! In the end, the kids recognize the similarities between how birds and fish eat. It has been as enlightening for me as it has been for them.
